Tottenham vs Luton Preview & Betting Tips: Spurs To Get Back To Winning Ways Against Hatters

Spurs will be hoping to get back to winning ways after the international break, with Ange Postecoglou’s side hosting Luton on Saturday. Find Tottenham vs Luton betting tips and preview below, along with the latest match odds.

Tottenham vs Luton Preview

Tottenham’s pursuit of a top four finish hit a major stumbling block just before the international break, with a surprising 3-0 loss against Fulham handing the advantage back to Aston Villa.

Tottenham had no excuses at Craven Cottage, with Ange Postecoglou almost able to name a full strength XI other than Micky van de Ven who remains an absentee.

Before the Fulham loss Spurs found themselves in good form, with back-to-back victories against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa keeping the side in the race for a Champions League finish.

There is just three points separating Spurs in fourth and Aston Villa in fifth, but the former have a game in hand so things couldn’t be closer towards the top of the table.

Their opponents this weekend – Luton – continue to be a surprise package despite being unable to peel themselves away from the relegation zone. The Hatters still hold a very good chance of staying up with nine games left to play, however.

Nottingham Forest’s point deduction meant they swapped places overnight with Luton in the relegation zone, as Rob Edwards’ side leapfrogged them in the table to 17th place.

Luton haven’t managed a win in their last eight Premier League games, so they will need to turn their form around in the final months of the season if they are to confirm their top-flight status for another campaign

Tottenham vs Luton Tips and Predictions

  • Tottenham To Win & BTTS @ 11/10
  • Heung-Min Son To Score Anytime @ 7/10

Tottenham To Win & BTTS

Spurs to win and both teams to score is our first tip for Saturday afternoon which is 11/10 with Lucky Block’s latest Tottenham vs Luton odds.

Both teams have scored in nine of Luton’s last ten matches in all competitions with the Hatters losing six of those in a difficult run to kick off 2024.

Tottenham have seen both teams score in five of their last seven games, but in their last two matches just one side has scored in one win and one loss.

We have no doubt Spurs will get back to winning ways this weekend after the international break with the hosts desperate to close the gap on Villa in fourth spot.

Luton are winless in their last five away matches and their form away from Kenilworth Road this season has proven problematic for their chances of survival, so Tottenham will be expecting to win on home soil.

Micky van de Ven scored the only goal in the reverse league fixture this season, with Tottenham winning 1-0 away from home.

Heung-Min Son To Score Anytime

Our second selection for Luton’s visit to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this weekend is Heung-Min Son to find the back of the net at 7/10 with Lucky Block.

Heung-Min Son has scored 14 goals for Tottenham in 25 Premier League appearances this season and the Korean is Spurs’ top scorer in all competitions.

Tottenham’s captain couldn’t score against Fulham when he led the line last time out, with the Cottagers the first team in the league to hold Spurs to a clean sheet this season.

Prior to the Fulham game Son had two goals in his last two matches, with important finishes against Aston Villa and Crystal Palace getting Spurs back in the race for a top four finish.

Son has had 47 shots in the Premier League this season with the Korean hitting the target with 29 of those at a 61% strike rate.

With 14 goals from 29 shots on target Spurs’ star attacker nearly averages a goal for every two shots on target and with plenty of efforts expected against Luton this weekend, Son can get back to scoring ways.

Tottenham Team News

Micky van de Ven hasn’t been seen since coming off against Aston Villa last month but the defender is expected to make a return to the lineup this weekend.

Richarlison returned off the bench in the loss against Fulham and now fully recovered from his knee injury the Brazilian could return.

Tottenham Predicted Line-Up: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bentancur; Kulusevski, Maddison, Son; Richarlison.

Luton Team News

Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu was forced off against Nottingham Forest with a knock and he will have to pass a fitness test ahead of this weekend to start.

Alfie Doughty is Luton’s best chance creator in the league this season with seven assists but the wing back is unavailable to Rob Edwards on Saturday with a hamstring strain.

Luton Predicted Line-Up: Kaminski; Hashioka, Mengi, Burke; Kabore, Barkley, Berry, Townsend; Chong, Clark; Morris.
